SEMO woman seriously injured in crash | News
A Southeast Missouri woman was seriously injured Tuesday morning in a one-car crash.
The crash happened at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Missouri Route ZZ, five miles east of West Plains in Howell County.
According to Trooper T. E. Young of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Laken M. Martin of Thayer was westbound when her 2005 Chrysler Sebring travelled off the road. She apparently overcorrected and the car flipped over several times.
Martin, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Medical Center then transferred to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries.
