SEMO woman killed in crash | News
A Southeast Missouri was killed Sunday when her SUV slammed into a concrete culvert and overturned.
The crash happened at 3:30 p.m. on Route J, 22 miles west of Doniphan.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, 43-year-old Starla D. Smith of Birch Tree was traveling north when her 1998 Jeep Cherokee ran off the road, struck a culvert and overturned.
Smith, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle.
Ripley County Coroner Mike Jackson pronounced her dead at the scene.
