A Southeast Missouri man was hospitalized Sunday after he was thrown from his pickup truck.
The crash happened at 11 a.m. on Highway EE, seven miles west of Doniphan.
According to Corporal T. W. Lee who investigated the crash for the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 25-year-old Josh I. Hassig of Doniphan was northbound when his 1996 Ford F-150 left the right side of the road. Hassig apparently overcorrected and the pickup truck veered off the left side of the road and overturned several times.
Hassig, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the truck.
He was taken by ambulance to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
The MSHP later charged Hassig with driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked, failing to maintain right half of the roadway resulting in an accident, no insurance, failure to register motor vehicle and driving without a seat belt.
