Caught on camera: Man suspected of robbing store

Does this man look familiar?

Poplar Bluff police say he robbed Huck’s Convenience Store at gunpoint early Sunday morning.

According to Captain David Sutton, at 3:46 a.m. Sunday the man shown above entered the store, located in the 700-block of North Westwood Blvd., pointed a handgun at the clerk and ordered him to hand over the money in the cash register drawer.

The employee told investigators he pulled out the register drawer, placed it on the counter and backed away.

After the suspect grabbed the cash and ran out, the employee pushed the store’s panic button and called 911.

The suspect is described as an African-American man, approximately 5’9” to 5’11” tall, wearing a large black coat over a red hooded sweatshirt.  Captain Sutton says he should be considered “armed and dangerous.”

If you have any information that can help the investigation, you’re asked to call your local law enforcement agency or call the Poplar Bluff Police Department at (573) 686-8649.
