Rapid Response teams to help fired Hostess employees in SEMO | Business
Some 18,000 workers nationwide lost their jobs when Hostess decided to liquidate their assets.
But, help is on the way to former Hostess employees in Southeast Missouri.
Displaced workers in Poplar Bluff, West Plains and Mountain Grove are invited to attend meetings hosted by the state’s Rapid Response Team.
Representatives from the Workforce Investment Board will provide information on available local job openings and reemployment services.
The meetings will be held at the following times:
- 2 p.m. Thursday, November 29, at the Missouri Career Center, 3417 Division Dr. in West Plains
- 10 a.m. Friday, November 30, at the Missouri Career Center, 1903 Northwood Dr., Suite #2 in Poplar Bluff
The services are provided at no cost.
